Privacy

We collect as little as we can: an email if you sign up for the newsletter, and what you write in the be-a-guest form. No cookies, no tracking, no ads.

Who is responsible

Domin is run by Vojtěch Brandejs and Sebastian Mensa, Prague, Czech Republic. We are jointly responsible for your personal data (the “controllers” under the GDPR). For anything about your data, write to management@thedomin.com or call +420 605 231 378.

What we collect, and why

Newsletter. Your email address, so we can send you the newsletter. We do this because you asked us to (your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep it until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just reply and ask.

Be a guest form. Your name, email, what you’re building, an optional link, and where you’d like to meet. We use it to reply and set up a conversation, at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If we don’t end up doing a story, we delete it within 12 months. If we do, we keep it as long as the story is online.

Emails you send us. We keep the conversation in our inbox for as long as we need it to answer you and follow up.

Server logs. When you open the site, our hosting provider briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and keep the site secure (our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What we don’t do

  • No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels.
  • Fonts and scripts load from our own domain, so opening the site doesn’t send your IP address to Google or other third parties.
  • We never sell or share your data for marketing.

Who handles it for us

We use a few services that process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts the website and runs the forms.
  • Resend stores the newsletter list and delivers our emails, sending from its EU region.
  • Google (Google Workspace) runs our inbox at management@thedomin.com.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time. Just email us and we’ll answer within a month.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
